James Kirkpatrick
Managing Director
After three decades in construction, made up of two as a specialist products expert and as the founder of WPC (formerly Waterproofing Concepts); James has been instrumental in developing and delivering the products and service we’re known for. As a licensed building practitioner he’s walked the walk, and with expertise across every aspect of the business he’s consistently proven he talks the talk too, continually developing the company’s offering and the skills of our team.
Peter Varrie
General Manager
With more than 40 years of experience across residential construction, civil infrastructure, and security and fire protection, Peter brings exceptional breadth to his role as General Manager. Originally from South Africa, he has proudly called New Zealand home for over 15 years. Peter's strengths lie in multi-site operational management, financial oversight, and developing high-performing teams and as a former Affordable Housing Developer of the Year (South Africa, 2009), he has a proven track record to match. A firm believer in accountability and continuous improvement, he plays a central role in keeping WPC running smoothly and its people performing at their best.
Alex Mora
Commercial Manager, BSCE, PG Cost Eng, AACE Member
With over 20 years’ experience in Brazil and New Zealand, Alex has worked as a quantity surveyor, project manager, and commercial manager, gaining a broad view of both site operations and commercial strategy. He has developed expertise across sectors including civil, residential, commercial, retail, healthcare, education, and aged care. At WPC, Alex leads the commercial side of projects, from cost planning to contract administration. He is passionate about solving challenges, improving systems, and mentoring talent, and has successfully navigated the challenge of transitioning into the New Zealand industry.
Sheree Beardsley
Office Manager
Sheree excels in managing accounts and ensuring Health & Safety and compliance documentation is always accurate and up to date. She works closely with operations managers and quantity surveyors, supporting the smooth coordination of projects from start to finish.
With a sharp eye for detail and exceptional communication skills, Sheree ensures administration processes run efficiently. Her outstanding organisational ability is a key asset, providing reliable support across the entire team.
Phil Fletcher
Project Manager, Operations
With 42 years in engineering and a decade in construction, Phil brings a depth of practical knowledge that is hard to match. He oversees projects from design and procurement through to quality control and completion, working closely with contractors and clients to keep everything on track and on budget. Known for spotting issues early and finding straightforward solutions, Phil's approach is as practical as his experience is extensive. For him, the most rewarding part of any job is a satisfied client at the end of it.
Kamilla Cevidanes
Quantity Surveyor, Civil Engineer, Member of NZQS
Kamilla has been working as a quantity surveyor for over 10 years in the residential, commercial, and social housing sectors. From budgeting and planning to financial control and feasibility analysis, she brings a wide and strategic view of the construction industry to all projects. At WPC, Kamilla ensures projects are delivered in time and within budget. Passionate about seeing developments succeed from start to finish, she takes pride in delivering quality outcomes through precise financial management and strategic planning.
Jason Dugdale
Project Manager, Construction
With his impressive attention to detail, Jason oversees the quality of our work and ensures all our partners’ expectations are met. With over two decades of experience in the industry (15 of those in waterproofing alone) Jason can certainly talk the talk. He loves seeing a good job done right the first time, and providing quality on-site training for the WPC team.
Julian Borrie
Project Manager, Roofing
Julian's 13 years in the industry have taken him from working on the tools to leading a team and that hands-on foundation is what sets him apart. He draws on his practical experience every day to streamline workflow, support his team, and deliver reliable results for clients. Known among his colleagues for his problem-solving ability, Julian takes particular pride in steering challenging projects to a successful finish.
Kevin Rohlandt
Roofing Foreman LBP
As a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) with 18 years’ experience in roofing and metal wall cladding, Kevin has worked across South Africa and New Zealand. He delivers high-quality membrane roofing, flashings, and cladding installations and is recognised for his precision and problem-solving skills. He enjoys putting in the hard work to achieve high-standard results. Kevin was recently ranked in the top 10 in the Colorsteel Awards for wall cladding in New Zealand.
